The 2015 Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5Km "The Race of Ireland" & 2014 Marathon Sports Somerville Jingle Run & was pleased to recently donate $3,500 to the Somerville Youth & Recreation Foundation, founded by Dave Mangan.

George Scarpelli of the Somerville Recreation Department accepted the check on behalf of the Somerville Youth & Recreation Foundation.

The 2015 Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5K held in Somerville, MA recently donated $2,000.00 to the Medford High School Track & Field Team.

The Medford High Track & Field Team has been involved in the event for 7 years now directing runners and walkers pre race and then passing out water and finisher medals at the finish line. The Medford High School Team is coordinated by Coach Tommy Lynch (far right), Tommy won many road races in his day including the 1993 Khoury's Summer Steamer also directed by the race director of the Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5Km.
